Anne et Valentin’s sole existence is due to Anne and her husband Valentin. Anne et Valentin is a brand born from the wild dream of two opticians from Toulouse, a town in the South-West of France. The adventure truly begins in September 1980 when Valentin, the neo-hippie, obtains his optician’s degree. The two lovebirds, looking for graphic and authentic frames for their friends, decided to create what they couldn’t find. They started an optical store with a unique selection of original, nondescript frames and a radically different sales philosophy. The deeply united couple spent their lives nurturing and expanding their brand.
Anne et Valentin are opticians and creators. They have a clear understanding of the adventure at stake in the making of a frame; and in all the stages involved in the process. The Anne et Valentin design process is akin to alchemy, mixing geometric cuts, brilliant colors, and materials. From design to prototype, from image to communication, from sale to distribution, all their know-how is integrated. Their collections reflect the paradox of spontaneity combined with meticulous design.
Today, still driven by their strong independence and our familial state of mind, they continue to develop a vision that embodies their research, fueled by the highest standards and their respect for the object itself. Currently, with several stores and over 1,500 carefully selected retailers, Anne & Valentin glasses are worn and exported all around the world.
