KameManNen is said to be the oldest eyewear brand in Japan. It started in 1917 in the city of Fukui, with a plating factory called “Kimura Seisakusho”. After the Second World War, they developed this into an eyewear factory based in Sabae. In 1981, KameManNen successfully used titanium to produce eyewear for the first time. Titanium is known for its durability and lightness and is ideal for quality eyewear.
What KameManNen value the most in making eyewear is “production of durable products that will be loved for a long period of time”. This is the strong aspiration of the founder, Kikujiro Kimura. Therefore, KameManNen eyewear undergoes a series of extremely time-consuming manufacturing processes.
